We have recently reviewed the requirements for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the Forklift Operator National High Risk Licence.
In order to make absolutely certain that RPL assessments comply with all relevant standards and the expectations of WorkSafe WA (the regulatory body responsible for issuing the National Licence) we are moving to clarify the requirements for documenting prior qualifications and experience.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is only available to participants who have an expired Certificate of Competency or forklift ticket, which must have been issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Australia.
- All participants seeking RPL will need to provide the expired Certificate of Competency or forklift ticket. We will need to take a copy as evidence of having sighted the document.
- Applicants will also need to complete an Evidence Declaration to verify their level of recent experience.
Participants who do not have an expired Certificate of Competency or forklift ticket would need to undertake the full course.
If you have any questions about these requirements, please call us on (08) 6460 7559.
