About Jobs West

Jobs West is a not-for-profit organisation focused on achieving sustained community development through employment services and training, especially for economically disadvantaged people. We are continually developing new and innovative projects for women, youth-at-risk, Indigenous people, people of culturally and linguistically diverse background, refugees, mature workers and people living with a disability.

We deliver our services at a range of sites throughout WA from Kalgoorlie to Albany to the Perth Metropolitan Area, and are establishing a state first ICT and Logistics industry Skill Centre in Malaga. One of the key factors in our success is the strong industry and government support for our innovative approach to training in a "live" business context.

We are Quality Assured, holding RTO (Registered Training Organisation) status under the AQTF (Australian Quality Training Framework) standard. We train and assess people in real situations in the workplace.

Jobs West's benevolent goal is to assist individuals to obtain and keep appropriate career-based employment so that they can become financially independent. We have the infrastructure, the flexibility and the capacity to deliver a service that is focused on the needs of individual people.

We also manage community development, heritage and environmental projects that provide employment and training opportunities for people from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.

Jobs West provides counselling and mentoring programs for young people making the sometimes difficult transition from school to employment more successfully.

We operate on a community and industry partnership model, bringing together all levels of government, community agencies, schools and industry to assist people to gain appropriate education and training, and sustainable careers.
